Welcome to Dewinton! Continuing on our theme of railway caches, this is one of our favorite spots photographing trains south of Calgary. To the north of you is the CPKC Aldersyde Subdivision, connecting Calgary and Lethbridge, and the downtown skyline. Once upon a time, there was a small community with a grain elevator called Academy, which from here would be just behind the church and baseball diamond. To the south of you is a shooting range, so we figured "Take a Shot" would be an appropriate name! Hope you see a train or two!
