Tancook Island is a small, tight-knit community where everyone knows everyone else.
Unfortunately, due to visitors and weather washing / blowing things around, the island sometimes needs a cleanup. Obviously, things like coffee cups alongside the road are not naturally-occurring, and you can imagine how disrespectful discarded waste is perceived (on, and off, the island).
So, in an effort to give back to this community, AF Girl is organizing a CITO. You can help, by bringing a waste bag with you (or, they will be available), and spending a bit of time cleaning up designated public areas of the community. Your actions and efforts will help remind residents that the geocaching community cares; let's leave it better than found.
Meet at the posted coords between 8am-9am and then disperse with friends to participate in the CITO.
Tancook Ferry Schedule
L'île Tancook est une petite communauté unie où tout le monde connaît tout le monde.
Malheureusement, en raison des visiteurs et des intempéries qui déplacent et soufflent des objets, l'île a parfois besoin d'être nettoyée. De toute évidence, des choses comme les tasses à café le long de la route ne sont pas naturelles, et vous pouvez imaginer à quel point les déchets jetés sont perçus comme irrespectueux (sur et hors de l'île).
Donc, dans un effort pour redonner à cette communauté, AF Girl organise un CITO. Vous pouvez aider en apportant un sac poubelle avec vous (ou ils seront disponibles) et en passant un peu de temps à nettoyer les zones publiques désignées de la communauté. Vos actions et vos efforts contribueront à rappeler aux résidents que la communauté du géocaching se soucie d’eux ; laissons les choses en meilleur état que prévu.
Rendez-vous aux coordonnées affichées entre 8 h et 9 h, puis éparpillez-vous avec des amis pour participer au CITO.
