Kirkby-in-Furness is a village in the Westmorland & Furness local authority in the English county of Cumbria. It is really a collection of six different hamlets: Soutergate, Wall End, Beck Side, Sand Side, Marshside and Chapels; and other outlying settlements including Bailiff Ground, Gargreave, Friars’ Ground, Beanthwaite, Dove Bank, Dove Ford and Woodland.
The village has a popular community centre and sports ground, two active pubs - The Ship and The Commercial, three churches and a cafe, as well as superb views to Black Combe, the Duddon Estuary and up into the Duddon Valley.
