Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
A number of our caches have starred our local river, including the
original Red Cliffs cache near this spot. Unfortunately, that one
disappeared, but we liked this location so much we wanted to try
again with this our forty-ninth cache. This particular stretch of
the river highlights a unique geological feature which has been
classified by the National Trust.
The cache is a 1-litre plastic clip-top camo box. Although this
hiding spot has fewer visitors than the previous one, there are
still enough to mean you may need to be careful not to be observed.
Many come here to fish but, unfortunately, these same people seem
to have little respect for this environment, which seems to
accumulate lots of rubbish between our visits. The whole area is
therefore ideal for a bit of CITO attention. Please reseal the log
book in its bag after use to keep it dry. As usual, please also
make sure you return the cache to its exact hiding place and ensure
the natural camo blends with the surroundings. Enjoy the views.
While you are here, you might consider visiting a couple of the
local tourist attractions just up the road (Shadowfax Winery, the
Werribee Park Mansion, the State Rose Garden and the Open Range
Zoo), or seek out some other caches in the area.
