Dale Earnhardt Tribute Cache. When we were thinking up a theme for this, our THIRD hide, only one thing came to mind - a Tribute to The Man in Black. Whether you loved him or hated him, or even if you don't follow NASCAR, you can't deny the remarkable influence he had across the country. We still follow the races, but they're not the same without him. We've left an assortment of different NASCAR collecibles featuring Dale, Dale Jr. or DEI. (basically anything with a 3 on it.)
For a really nice hike park at N 35 Deg 52.909' W078 Deg 39.169' on Sawmill Rd. between Leadmine Rd. and Six Forks Rd. If you are in a hurry, there is a much closer spot to park at the intersection of Longstreet Drive and Bentcreek Drive off Six Forks Road.

Update: 8/23/2004 Been away from geocaching for a while and have changes isp's - forgot to change address on GC.com so missed many entries. I read entries from a couple of geocachers - and they have shamed me into fixing all of these caches. Will visit tomorrow and replenish/fix - I am sure it is very damp. The reports of my retirement have been greatly exaggerated - I've just been on a sabbatical.
