Welcome to 🍔National Hamburger Month🍔, a time to celebrate one of the most universally beloved creations in the history of cuisine: the hamburger. We’ve got the lowdown on how to honor this glorious, meaty masterpiece (or veggie patty, we’re inclusive here) with the 24-hour SCAR 2025 Caching Blitz and a BBQ blowout that’ll have you laughing, geocaching, and devouring a burger or two... or twenty.😆🔊🤣

Now, let's talk about the real star of this month—burgers🍔. These things are like the Swiss army knife of food: versatile, always satisfying, and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Whether you’re flipping them on a BBQ, frying them up on the stove, or getting adventurous with fast food (don’t act like you don’t know your local burger joint’s secret menu), there’s a burger for everyone. Heck, it's National Hamburger Month—every day is an excuse to indulge.

Ever wondered about the origins of this beauty? Prepare to have your mind blown: burgers used to be considered "garbage meat." Yep, you heard that right. The leftovers from butchering cows for the finer cuts (steak, roasts, etc.) were ground up into what we now lovingly call the hamburger. A product of necessity, the humble hamburger quickly climbed the ranks from scrap meat to worldwide obsession. It’s come a long way, folks.

So how do you honor this culinary hero? Here are a few ideas that’ll make your National Hamburger Month celebrations truly legendary:

Oh, and one last thing—since it’s the 25th anniversary of geocaching, we’re taking it up a notch. Want to be part of something bigger? Document your SCAR adventures on video! We’ll be stitching together a film for the Geocaching International Film Festival (GIFF), showcasing our wonderful geocaching community.
