SLAGA Spring Picnic ** Saturday, April 26th, 2025
This year's Spring picnic will be hosted by BnD Moritz at Arnold City Park. The park is located at 2400 Bradley Beach Rd, Arnold, MO 63010. This is a great park with plenty of room for all of us. It's totally wheelchair accessible, dog friendly, and has huge new playground for the kids. We will be in the Dogwood Pavillion.
DETAILS:
SLAGA will provide hamburgers, brats, and hotdogs (let me know how many of each you want in your "Will Attend"), along with condiments, plates, napkins and utensils. We ask that you bring a side dish, dessert, or other food to share and your own drinks. Water will be provided.
Because I borrowed Nan's Fall Geocaching I am keeping her description with Spring Picnic updates. You will not see the usual chart on this event page showing: geocacher's name, side dish he/she is bringing, how many hamburgers/hotdogs/brats he/she wants, and how many are coming. I don't know how to insert a table in the cache page and I'm too old to learn. My apologies to those who rely on the chart to decide what dish they're going to bring. Instead, I'm asking that your "Will Attend" log include the information requested below. I will monitor what people are bringing and post an announcement if I see that we are getting too many salads, desserts, chips, mac & cheese, veggie trays, or whatever. Of course, feel free to scroll through the logs and get a sense of what others are bringing if you're trying to decide what scrumptious dish you want to bring. Geokid12, I'm counting on that delicious oriental salad you bring. 
Honestly, it has been my observation that we usually have a nice variety of side dishes and desserts at our picnics. I'm going to trust that this is because we have such a variety of folks in SLAGA and not because there's a chart on the cache page. I have faith that the food at this picnic will be just as varied.
In your "Will Attend" log, please post the following:
- number of people attending
- how many hamburgers/hotdogs/brats you want
- side dish you are bringing
- job you're willing to volunteer for (note: volunteers get to go through the food line first)
I plan to have a 50-50 drawing, Geo Bingo, Silent Auction, Travel Bug Table, and Closest to the Pin contest, IF I can get volunteers to oversee each of these games.
The prices are as follows:

- Non-Premium Member Adults $7.00
- Kids 5-12 $3.00
- Kids 4 and under free
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
- 10:15 a.m. - Set up
- 10:30 a.m. - Registration begins
- 12:00 p.m. - Group Photo
- 12:15 p.m. - Lunch begins.
- 1:00 p.m. - (Silent Auction bidding ends and all games close.)
- 1:15 p.m. - General announcements and business, Milestone Awards, Silent Auction and 50-50 winners, all game winners, and Premium Membership drawing
- 2:10 p.m. - Cleanup
- 2:30 - Head out
