Allison Woods Traditional Cache
Team J&K: Found the container several feet from where I originally looked.
Archived, seems very few cachers want hides outside of the parks and Walmart parking lots!!!

We placed this cache to get people into this area. It is amazing that it is such a nice wooded area so close to downtown Indy. While you can probably park closer and save some of the walk, you'd miss the nice trails in the area. While this is part of Marian College, it is open to the public. I named it Allison Woods for the man who origianlly had the area designed but it is currently called "Ecolab". The Allison mansion sits to the right as you drive back to the parking area. The cache is a camoed 1 pint thermos. The cache is completedly hidden. Please be sure to rehide it as well so that it isn't discovered by other park users. The cache is about 30 feet off a path. The initial items in the cache are Team J&K geochip #10, Mardi Gras beads, mini flash lite, CC"s wooden nickel, Pez dispenser, Goecaching compass, and a basketball pen.
7/29/05 - We went out to check on cache and modified the coords slightly. Also changed hint.
8/26/07 - Cache was missing. They have done a lot of clearing in the area and a new trail went right by the old location. We moved the cache away from the trail and changed the hint to reflect the new location.
8/6/08 - Tried to tweak the coords a little but the gps does tend to bounce back here. Be willing to expand your search a little if you are having trouble and feel free to post your coords if it will help others. I did up the difficulty rating a little as this one is harder to find in the summer.
