Geocache Description:

Meades Water Gardens and Water Lane Tidy Up

When: Sunday 18th May 2025
Time:
10am to 12pm - We may meet in Water Meadow Car Park at 10am (see waypoints), but a majority of the work would take place at the posted coordinates. Look out for further updates closer to the time.
What to expect: We'll be warmly welcomed back to join Chesham Environmental Group to participate in the tasks set out by the team. The tasks will be primarily clearing the riverbed and bank of invasive vegetation, and litter pick the local area. Tools are available but you may want to bring your own secateurs / saws / pruning saws / shears / loppers. Litter pickers and bin bags will be provided. Please wear appropriate clothing, footwear and gloves and waders or wellies if you work in the river. Some waders are available; bring your own if you have them. NB. if you want to ensure that we have your size available, please send a message in advance of your boot size.
Please bring along if you can: Please wear appropriate clothing, footwear, gloves and waders or wellies if you work in the river. Chesham Environmental Group will have some tools available, and a selection of sizes of waders. If you do not have wellies or waders, please do mention your boot size in your Will Attend, so I can pass the message on to the Environmental Group so they can bring spares. Litter pickers and bin bags will be provided.
Parking: There is some parking available in Water Meadow Car Park and Starr Yard Car Park. Please refer to the waypoints for these.
Public Transport: London Underground (Metropolitan Line),
Bus (1 / 1A / 1B / 1S) - between Hemel Hempstead, Chesham, Amersham and High Wycombe - stops directly next to the CITO location).

I'll definitely be at the posted coordinates at the start and the end of the CITO, with the log book, but may have been given the task of litter picking further afield. if you arrive later than 10am, Byron and the rest of the Chesham Environmental Group will be close to the posted coordinates. Please seek guidance regarding jobs that you can do. If you'd prefer to have my number, please do message me beforehand.
