I was hiking around the neighborhood and went out in the woods to pick up a trail cam I had placed. Looking at my map I saw a beaver pond a half a mile nearby. I had my gps and a few containers in my backpack. So what the heck. Here we go again. I was surprised to see this is an active beaver pond. I could see where the beaver had exited the pond from his hut through 2' diameter hole in the ice. This is a very quiet and relaxing place. It's less than a 1/4mile from the Superior Hiking Trail. And about 400' bushwack from one of the few ATV trails back in there. I parked at the gate on Arnold Rd and Schultz Rd and approached the cache from the North. However entering from the East is probably is the driest and easiest. You might get wet feet or not. I don't know. Depending on the season and your route with this winter accessible hide.
