Corowa Mulwala Cycle Trail
The Corowa Mulwala Cycle Trail is a family-friendly 43km trail that skirts the northern bank of the Murray River and Lake Mulwala, linking the towns of Corowa and Mulwala.
The sealed, flat trail is bookended by lovely town boardwalks that attract locals and visitors to the waterfront. In Corowa, the boardwalk is off Bridge Road on the riverbank. The boardwalk across Lake Mulwala is a half hour ride from central Mulwala.
Between these towns, the trail features native habitat, bird-breeding areas, revegetated riverbanks, and opportunities for bushwalking, fishing and recreational boating.
Adult and children’s bike hire is available in Corowa and Yarrawonga.
The Series
Don't Panic!!!
This series does not make you ride the entire length of the Trail.
Short lengths contain the caches and parking is available at either end of these sections.
However, we would recommend riding or scootering rather than trying to park nearby and walk.
This first section takes you from Mulwala to Kyffins Reserve, or the other way around.
We parked at Kyffins and rode into town and back for a picnic lunch. A lovely spot.
The Cache
This is near the start of the bush trail (if you are coming from Mulawa). This is where the ride becomes more interesting.
You want to be just off the trail for this cache.
