Toad Hollow: A Tunnel Underpass for Davis
This use to be a dirt road where the frogs and toads would cross to reach the pond on the other side. Thus there was controversary with the building of the six lane I-80 overpass, how will the toads safely cross to their pond without being squished by car tires? In 1995, the mayor, Julie Partansky allocated part of the overpass funds to making a tunnel costing $14,000 so the toads could safely cross instead.
