Enjoy this short and easy walk through nature. Yellagonga's wetlands are a haven for wildlife, including resident and migratory birds, swamp turtoises and tiger snakes. The Beenyup Swamp boardwalk and walktrail was established to enable visitors to complete a circuit of Beenyup Swamp, a shallow wetland in the heart of Yellagonga Regional Park, where you can forget for a moment that you are still in suburbia.
The limestone path will take you over the boardwalk amongst Flooded Gum and Freshwater Paperbark stands. Continue along the limestone path over the bridge where you can pause and keep an eye out for turtoises and feeding birds.
There are many bench seats and log seats to sit and enjoy the surrounds and listen to nature.
Make sure you check the historical buildings and heritage listed olive trees in Perrys Paddock while you are here. Dogs are permitted but must be on a lead!
WARNING - there are snakes in this area all year. Keep your eyes open! I have placed the caches as near as possible to the paths.
Thanls to bernasearge for maintaining the series of caches
