Schiffsverkehr in Fels am Wagram?
Laut Text an der Tafel bei der Steinmauer haben hier einmal Schiffe angelegt und die Schiffsleute konnten die Nacht sicher an Land verbringen. Ob und weit das seine Richtigkeit hat, ließ sich nicht gesichert überprüfen.
Es konnten keine Urkunden gefunden werden, die den Verlauf eines Flußes entlang des Wagram bestätigen würden.
Wenn die Donau tatsächlich einmal ihr Ufer hier in Fels am Wagram hatte würde es bedeuten, dass der Verlauf durch Erosion und den Eingriff von Menschenhand geändert wurde.
Um die Donau für den Handel nutzbar zu machen wurde der Flußlauf tatsächlich von Menschenhand immer wieder begradigt. Ob das auch hier der Fall war konnte nicht ermittelt werden.
Auch über die beiden Boote und den Fischer im Wappen konnte nichts wissenschaftlich fundiertes gefunden werden.
Geschichtlich können wir somit keine schlüssigen Information liefern. Für einen Geocache ist dieser Ort aber auf jeden Fall interessant.

Nothing scientifically sound could be found about the two boats and the fisherman in the coat of arms either.
