I cleaned the Christmas ornaments out of the cache and replaced with more traditional items we have picked up along the way, along with a few new items.
This cache is located on state land (i.e., public) near Clear Lake. The land is posted No Hunting and State Land. There cache is in the same ammo box the Ornament cache was in. In the summer, the land is used mostly for cattle grazing. I parked at N47.31.292, W-117.42.452, but there are many ways to get in. The gate may or may not be locked, depending on the time of year. You can scramble over or watch the fenceline as you drive in and you will see the walk-through gate. Besides the cows, there are lots of deer, porcupine, coyote, and water foul.
I lived on 8 acres across from the state land and if we hadn't of outgrown our little home, I would still be there. We used to take our dogs out for runs on this property and enjoyed a lot of time and long walks in the area. You may run into others with their dogs out and about!
The dogs are no longer with us, so this cache is in memory of our two "big bad wolves" that gave us so much enjoyment in one of few places that they could run free off leash.
Feel free to re-log this as a find as it is in a different location.
