BRITISH COLUMBIA URBAN TOURISM CHALLENGE :

This is a Challenge cache designed specifically for Geocacher tourists who are visiting British Columbia, so they can qualify for a Challenge cache while they visit. To qualify for this Challenge you will have to find and log the type of caches you would encounter in urban areas of BC, particularly with the kind of attributes which should be commonly found urban and low-terrain caches. There is still some need to find a variety of different geocache types, but probably nothing that an experienced Geo-tourist cannot complete within a few days of travel inside BC. The difficulty rating of 2 is calculated for locating the hide, and also how difficult on average it would be to complete the requirements. Tourists who are only on a short visit to Metro Vancouver will find it more difficult, while local BC local residents or frequent visitors will find this challenge very easy.
CHALLENGE REQUIREMENTS:
Only geocaches within the jurisdiction of British Columbia, Canada count towards the Challenge requirements.
The geocache finds which qualify for this cache can be in any year since you started geocaching. There is no requirement to make all the finds in a single visit to BC, or within a certain time period.
You may sign the cache log sheet before you have completed the requirements, but post a "Write Note" log if you do this, to record when you signed it.
However, you must meet all of the following specific requirements in order to log this challenge cache as "Found":
1) You need to have logged at least 25 cache finds of any type within BC, with a terrain rating of 2.5 or less.
2) You need to have logged a total of 5 caches of Multi, Mystery, Letterbox, Wherigo, or Earthcache types within BC, with a terrain rating of 2.5 or less.
3) You must have logged at least 5 Virtual or Webcam caches within BC, with any terrain rating.
4) You need to have logged a total of at least 10 caches within BC which have any of the attributes "Scenic View or "Recommended for Tourists" or "Bonus Cache" or "Challenge Cache", with any terrain rating.
5) You need to have logged a total of at least 20 caches within BC which have any of the following attributes: Food Nearby, Drinking Water Nearby, Public Restrooms nearby, Public transportation nearby, Fuel nearby, Telephone nearby, Stealth required, Wheelchair Accessible, Stroller accessible, Bicycles allowed, Parking nearby, or Park and Grab, Available 24/7.
Helpful Note: This challenge has a lot of overlapping requirements, which should make it easier to complete. Most of the urban & tourist-oriented type of geocaches you seek for requirements # 1, 2, and 3 will already have the attributes you would be looking for to fulfill requirements #4 and 5.
You can use the Project-GC Challenge Checker that is provided in the description below (click on the image), to check that the requirements are completed. You can then include the checker's proof of completed requirements in your "Found" log. (It provides that information with the check completion message, under "Example Log". Just copy & paste that message into your log.)

( Thanks go out to Hügh for providing the Project GC checker. )
GEOCACHE LOCATION AND ACCESSIBILITY:
Like most challenge caches, this cache is exactly where the Posted Coordinates indicate. It is located in the "Shipyards / Lonsdale Quay" neighbourhood of North Vancouver. It is easily accessible via public transit, such as a Seabus ferry ride from downtown Vancouver. If you drive to the area, parking can be tricky, but both free parking and pay parking is available a short distance away; please obey all parking regulations. There are also designated bicycle paths which lead close to the area.
The Geocache is near a small playground, but not actually inside it. The cache is a small tube, cleverly hidden so the many muggles which use this area do not find it. Please use stealth when searching for the cache, retrieving it, and putting it back. No excursions into the bushes or over any fence are necessary. The geocache will contain a logbook and maybe a pencil (bring your own, just in case), but there is no extra space inside the cache container, so please do not add any swag.
** Geo-tek got the gold medal for First To Find; PetraPan17 silver for 2nd; christyotwisty got bronzed at 3rd.**
