Blue Switch Day!
May 2, 2025, is Blue Switch Day! It’s the 25th anniversary of the day that the US Government stopped restricting accuracy of GPS, making it better for everyone. They called this flipping the “Blue Switch." The first geocache was hidden on May 3, 2000. There are two souvenirs associated with Blue Switch Day, a finder and a hider. Let’s try to collect both this year!
The Riderwood Geocachers are sponsoring this event. Many of the people who attend regularly have done just about everything geocaching. They’re valuable sources of suggestions, tips, and anything else anyone may wish to know. Everyone will benefit from this event.
As always, you may bring your suggestions for others about caching, offer trackables, and all the other things that make these events so much fun!
Join us at Panera Bread, 12285 Tech Road, Silver Spring, MD. You aren’t required to buy anything to attend, but their food is very good!
