Growing up, I remember spending time in locations like these--specifically on Memorial Day and Labor Day and some other seasonally warm holidays. My family always went to take care of family gravesites. My brother and I would run around looking for the oldest birthdates on headstones while my parents planted flowers. Today I still find cemeteries so peaceful. They are a place that not many people spend time and it's easy to find solace in one. So interesting that the first cache that I ever found was in a graveyard as well. Cemetery caches are some of my favorites!
This is the fifth cache in a series of cemetery caches (one now archived). This is a very small cemetery along a dead end road. There are a couple of businesses nearby, but none close enough that anyone will probably be watching you. Most of the headstones are old. The most recent burial that I could see was 2006. There is one headstone for Diana Lynn who only lived three hours. I've always wanted to place a cache down this road and found this spot just the other day. I love cemeteries for caching and for solitutde. I hope that you enjoy this quiet spot.
There is one obvious place to park at the double gate. Unlatch the gate to enter.
Congrats to MrMrsSnake for the FTF!
