Welcome to the Rutherford scrub, Take a few moments as you walk the trails to look around and observe the local wildlife, from the parrots, lorikeets, cockatoos and kookaburras darting through the trees, the kangaroos grazing at dawn or dusk, to the tawny frogmouths and possums foraging at night. There's always plenty to observe in this little pocket of bush thats surrounded by suburbia. We're lucky enough that our yard backs onto this area and we're able to spend quite a bit of time walking the puppies and letting the kids explore here. We decided it would be the perfect spot to set up our first ever geocache. It's a large cache with plenty of room for goodies, From the trail head (waypointed) follow the gravel road up to the Y junction, take the left trail and follow it down to the cache waypoint. Plenty of room for goodies. Please be respectful of neighbouring properties. You can drive this trail, however I encourage you to walk it and enjoy the wildlife.
