This cache is located in Anclote Key Preserve State Park, largest of the Anclote Keys, which can only be accessed by boat or other types of water craft. There is a dock on the south end of the island but only for state park personnel. Motor craft MUST anchor out or beach their boats. Kayaks and canoes can pull up along the beach. Dogs are not allowed on the island. No fee is required to enter the state park. The cache is not in the fenced off area.
The Friends of Anclote Key State Park & Lighthouse open the lighthouse from October – May on the second weekend of the month (weather permitting). They request a donation fee to climb to the top. All donations support the island and lighthouse.
