Wander far enough away from the baseball fields, and you’ll find yourself in a quiet, forgotten hollow—where moss grows thick, time moves slow, and the only smoke is the ghost of cookouts past. Tucked among the trees lies an old stone grill, abandoned but not alone.
This spot once sizzled with life—hot dogs, family, and memories—but now it hides a new adventure: a hidden cache.
Some say this grill was left behind after the park was re-routed, others whisper that it simply faded from memory. Either way, it’s got a story to tell, if you’re willin’ to listen close and poke around a bit.
This small handmade cache is a tribute to the past and to the fine Appalachian art of repurposing what’s left behind. It’s a little rough around the edges, a little tricky, and a whole lot of fun. Keep your eyes peeled and your wits about you—this ain’t your average burger joint.
No charcoal required—just a sharp eye and maybe a good sense of direction. Located inside the container is a small wooden coin for FTF. The container is only big enough for a log and a small token so BYOP. Please return the container as found.
Happy hunting, and enjoy the nostalgia of this area!
