A series of caches for the Dark Side Trail in the South March Highlands.
The trail is designated as a Double Black Diamond mountain bike trail, so exercise caution when on the trail, the terrain is quite varied. There are alternate paths down the more precipitous slopes.
Easiest access to the Dark Side trail is at the parking waypoint, there is a gap in the deer fence at this point. When you are through the deer fence you can head north or south, it doesn't matter which way around the trail loop you go. To the north the path is a rocky slope, which can get very icy, especially after a thaw/freeze cycle.
There are LOTS of ticks in the South March Highlands and you will be venturing off the trail to get to the caches, so take precautions to protect against tick borne diseases.
