A challenge dedicated to those geocacher who tackle Dangerous Caches and may have needed maintenance themselves while in the field.
Originally the idea to qualify for this cache you need to have found 1000 caches with the needs maintained attribute
. This apparently is not allowed by the guidelines and a checker could not be built so as Dangerous Areas can often be associated with Geocachers needing maintenance the qualification is a minimum 200 with the dangerous area attribute
before any rebates are applied.
A hospital rebate (discount) of 30% is offered for those cachers who have had significant injuries as a result of caching. (the checker won't show this). The discount only applies for injuries prior to publication of this cache to avoid some cachers purposely injuring themselves to claim this smiley! (Given some recent accidents the CO may allow some discretion). The discount can only be applied once otherwise without mentioning names someone may have been eligible many times.
Minor losses of DNA do not count as serious injuries. Those involving bandaging, stiches (or potential stiches), slings, crouches, torn ligaments, snake bite, concussions, broken bones, hospitalisation, potential drowning and the like all count. To claim your rebate you must include the tale of your injury.
Stay safe!
