The car park can get quite busy so be aware of people loitering around or sat in their vehicles.
A short series of 5 caches through POWTER HOWE WOOD, Thorntwaite, close to Bassentwaite Lake.
Parking is available at the start of the walk which is free – yes FREE – however there is a donation box, which is fair enough.
Car Park Co-ordinates are: N54 37.663 W003 12.542
I recommend that the caches be done in order, otherwise a steep incline from the off and some burning calves!
Head through the gate in SE corner of the car park and you are on your way.
It can be muddy in places particularly after rain, so boots or wellies recommended.
