📍 Sobre la Base Esperanza
La Base Esperanza está ubicada en Península Trinidad, sobre el extremo noreste de la Península Antártica. Es una base permanente argentina y una de las más emblemáticas del continente blanco.
Lo que la hace única es que aquí viven familias, niños y docentes 👨👩👧👦. De hecho, en 1978 nació en esta base el primer ser humano en la Antártida, lo que refuerza la presencia soberana y humana argentina. También funciona una escuela y una capilla.
Además de su valor histórico y simbólico, en la base se realizan investigaciones científicas en glaciología, meteorología y biología, entre otras áreas. 🧊📡🐧

📍 About Esperanza Base
Esperanza Base is located on Trinity Peninsula, at the northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula. It’s a permanent Argentine station and one of the most iconic in Antarctica.
What makes it special is that families, children, and teachers live here 👨👩👧👦. In fact, the first human ever born in Antarctica, in 1978, was born at this base — a symbol of Argentina's lasting presence. There's also a school and a chapel on site.
In addition to its symbolic and historic value, the base supports research in glaciology, meteorology, and biology. 🧊📡🐧
