🪿 Better for the Goose
What’s good for the gander was just the beginning.
Now it’s Better for the Goose—a feathery follow-up and a step up in difficulty from its sibling cache, Good for the Gander.
Juanita Beach Park is a beautiful slice of the Northwest full of waterfowl, interpretive signs, and watchful geese. Somewhere in this park lies a cache... but getting your hands on it won’t be easy.
To find this multi-cache, you will need to carefully scour the first two waypoints like a watchful goose. Clues at those locations will help you to triangulate the final location. The waypoint questions are purposefully a bit ambiguous. You will need to ponder the meaning of a window, as well as geographic terminology.
Once you arrive, the final hide might ruffle your feathers. It’s nano-sized but well disguised. Keep your eyes open, your wits sharp, and your fingers ready for a bit of tactile trickery. Remember: no signature, no find
📍 Initial coordinates
Look at the structure in front of you.
If the structure is for fairies, elves, and gnomes, then A=8
If the structure is for gnomes, fairies, and elves, then A=2
If the structure is for elves, gnomes, and fairies, then A=4
If the structure has 2 windows, then B=5
If the structure has 3 windows, then B=9
If the structure has 4 windows, then B=0
📍 Waypoint 1
Look at the geographic feature projecting into the creek front of you. It might be helpful to get across to it to determine the answers.
If the geographic feature at waypoint 1 is an Island, then C=4
If the geographic feature at waypoint 1 is an river bar, then C=0
If the geographic feature at waypoint 1 is river spit, then C=2
If there are 2 evergreen trees on the geographic feature, then D=5
If there are 3 evergreen trees on the geographic feature, then D=9
If there are 6 evergreen trees on the geographic feature, then D=3
The final coordinates are:
N 47° 42.3AB′ W 122° 12.9CD′
I mean, I suppose you could brute-force it if you wanted to check 81 locations...
but that still won’t even help with the hide
