This cache is located on the trails in Robin Creek Park (formerly called the North Marquette Dog Park)
https://www.davenportiowa.com/government/departments/parks_recreation/locations/robin_creek_park
This is a 21-acre park on the north side of Davenport with a nice dog park and trails. There is street parking along Marquette St. This is city-owned, but the trails in this park are maintained by volunteers (see https://www.facebook.com/groups/223682208399003). Therefore you will encounter bridges, ramps, and other structures en route to the cache. Be aware that there could be mountain bikers on the trails; especially keep a close eye on kids or your leashed dogs if you have them with you. If they are like my kids, they will want to try to walk and climb on the ramps/structures which could be dangerous, especially if bikers are coming into the park. Nevertheless, the trails are also open to walkers and it's generally safe for walking. The trails are closed after any rains that would cause muddy conditions as well, check qcforc.org for current conditions:
https://www.qcforc.org/content.php?240-Local-Trail-Condition-App-FAQ (see the conditions for Dog Park trail)
Here is a map of the trails: https://www.qcforc.org/trails/dpt/map/DP-TrailMap-7.21.23.png
Both the Davenport Parks & Rec department and the maintainers of the Dog Park Trails gave OKs for this cache to be placed.
The only required creek crossing is a small footbridge (Camelot trail) shown at the bottom of the map. If you come at the cache from the NE, the crossing is stepping stones thru the creek bed (Valkyrie trail). The actual cache is large enough to hold small items or travel bugs, and a short pencil is in the cache.
Enjoy the trails, and enjoy the cache!
I have another cache that is much easier to get to, about 500 meters to the north of this one, Beep 2.0. Come pay Beep a visit!
