Geocache Description:

You will need a 9v battery to access this cache.

This is one of 66 caches placed for the 2025 West Bend Cache Ba$h Block Party: Betcha Can’t Find Just One! We use all of our senses while geocaching, though I more often use my sense of sound just enjoying listening to the sounds of nature than at the actual cache.

Fun facts about sound:

  1. The ear continues to hear sounds, even while you sleep.
  2. Ears not only help you hear, but also aid in balance.
  3. Erupting volcanoes are the loudest natural sound.

"Mary Had a Little Lamb" is based on a real child named Mary Sawyer who, along with her brother, had a pet lamb that followed them to school one day. Thomas Edison famously recorded the rhyme on his phonograph in 1877, making it the first recorded and played-back piece of audio. To get the code for this lock you will have to play the first seven notes of this song.
