Welcome to my favorite place on Earth—a peaceful slice of paradise nestled by the shores of Otter Lake. This spot means the world to me and holds so many cherished memories, and now, I’m excited to share it with you through this little microcache tucked away at the top of the lookout.
Every summer, we return to this special camping spot with our two adventure-loving cats, Easy Alice and Grace. Yes—you read that right—our cats come camping too, and they love it! From the rustle of the trees to the soft splash of the waves on the shore, this place is full of nature’s magic.
Some of our fondest memories here have been made with great friends. Chris and Alyssa have become part of our Otter Lake family, and their pup Echo is a joy to have around the campsite. You might even hear his happy bark echoing up the hills. Our good friend Terry joins us sometimes too, bringing laughter, stories, and the occasional tall fishing tale.
Otter Lake itself is a gem—home to incredible fishing for Muskie and bass. Whether you’re paddling at dawn or casting off from the rocks, the lake has a quiet beauty that never gets old.
The Cache:
This microcache is hidden in a blue recycled pill bottle, tucked away at the top of the lookout, where the views will take your breath away. On a clear day, you can see the shimmer of the lake through the trees and feel on top of the world. The climb isn’t too tough, but it’ll get your heart pumping—worth every step.
There’s only room for a logsheet, so please bring your own pen or pencil, and make sure to seal the lid tightly after signing. Take a moment at the top to soak it all in. Maybe you’ll understand why this place has become such a treasured tradition for us.
Thank you for visiting our favorite place. We hope it brings you peace, joy, and maybe even a great catch or two.
Happy caching!
