I placed a cache here in 2005 that I archived in 2009 when they tore the park out completely to redo things. After the park reopened another cacher placed one in this spot in 2012 that lasted til 2022 when the park was again revamped. I was parked out front the other day and realized that this great little park in the middle of town was cacheless, so it seemed like I should fix that. I grabbed a cache and headed in to place a new one only to find one of the other caches still in place, having survived the rebuild, life is funny like that.
Although, I was born in Nashville and have lived all over the eastern seaboard and some parts west of the Mississippi and other parts farther south, this is where my family is, and as far as I am concerned this is where I come from. I hope you enjoy your visit to Chapel Hill and this lovely little park named for my former scoutmaster.
