This is the fourth cache in the High Park Road series, which also happens to be the Gold Belt Tour from Florissant down to Cañon City, and up to Victor.
I drive by the Tallahassee Fire Station often coming into town, and I've always wondered what is down the BLM road. If you follow it all the way through it leads to an old gold town, but unfortunately after about 1.2 miles the road turns into private property.
There is a neat old house that has seen much better days.
wear and tear from camping, fires, wind, rain, etc.
It makes one wonder how many buildings used to scatter these hills during the gold rush, and after. Now most are long gone, hardly a distant memory.
Do be aware that this is an abandoned structure on BLM land, there is no need to physically enter the cabin to get the cache. Please ensure the cache is hidden upon departure.
