9th June - Treating Trees at Horsbere
Parking: Parking is available at the main entrance to Horsbere Reserve (see waypoint Parking area / Meet-up space).
Where: Meet up 09:30 by the main gates to Horsbere Reserve where we will collect tools and make our way to the community woodland (headline coords)
What: Join us as we give some much-needed care to the maturer trees on the reserve in the community woodland. We will be checking on the stakes, binders and guards.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance and tools if necessary. There are lots of other friendly volunteers on hand to give help and advice too! Please bring your own work gloves and, if you have them, appropriate tools. So if you have shears, a lump hammer, secateurs, please bring them along. Don't worry if you don't have tools however as the Ranger will have a supply too.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please make sure you bring along your own refreshments as it can be thirsty work.
