Geocache Description:

The tennis club manager keeps the key to the snack room locked in a small safe in the clubhouse.

You want snacks.

To open the safe, you need a 14‑digit code.

The coach doesn't have a problem with you satisfying your cravings - but they want to make it a little more fun.

As a result, the coach leaves you a list of 14 tennis related questions - each has an answer that is a single digit from 0–9.

Write down the digit for Question 1, then Question 2, and so on, in order — the 14 digits you get form the code.

Questions

  1. Grand Slams per year: How many Grand Slam tournaments are played each year?

  2. Shutout game: In standard tennis scoring (love, 15, 30, 40, game), how many points does a player need to win a game if they win it 40–0, with no deuces?

  3. Bagel set: In a “bagel” set, where the score is 6–0, how many games did the losing player win in that set?

  4. Bounces allowed: In normal tennis rules, how many times may the ball bounce on your side of the court before you must hit it back (in legal play)?

  5. No-deuce game length: Starting from love–love and ignoring deuces, how many points must the winner take to win a game?

  6. Second serve: After a player misses their first serve but hasn’t double‑faulted yet, how many serves do they have left in that point?

  7. Best-of-five victory: In a best‑of‑five‑sets match, how many sets must a player win to win the match?

  8. Standard tiebreak target: In a classic first‑to‑7 tiebreak (win by 2), what is the minimum number of points the winner must reach?

  9. Games in a 6–3 set: If a set ends 6–3, how many total games were played in that set?

  10. Margin to win a set (no tiebreak): In a regular set without a tiebreak (e.g., 6–4, 7–5), what is the minimum game difference required between winner and loser?

  11. Games in a 6–2 set: If a set ends 6–2, how many total games were played in that set?

  12. Winner’s games in a normal set: In a standard completed set like 6–1, 6–3, or 6–4 (no tiebreak considered here), how many games does the winner have?

  13. Serve sequence in a tiebreak: In a standard tiebreak: after the very first point, how many consecutive points does each player serve on their turn before serve switches again?

  14. Singles on court: In a standard singles match, how many players are on the court?
