Geocache Description:

Located NE of Bakersfield along the Kern River Regional Park bike trail; connecting California Living Museum (N35°25.912 W118°53.167) to Hart Park (N35°26.861 W118°54.291).

Both locations are worth a special trip. Hart Park includes a stretch of the lower Kern River and has a wonderful historic waterwheel, which is currently used as a cathouse (i.e. feral cats live in it). CALM is a wildlife rehabilitation center, and one of only a few zoos around the nation that specializes in wildlife and birds from the local area. Their exhibits include several State and federally protected species native to California. For more info, see (visit link)
