St Mary and St George Church
The cache is accessible within church grounds and has been placed with kind permission of the SMG church. There is plenty of space for swaps and trackables - we put a few swaps in ourselves! A pencil is included.
PLEASE NOTE: The cache must be replaced out of sight, how you found it!

The construction of the church building itself finished in 1938 by Gerald Wellesley, 7th Duke of Wellington and Trenwith Wills, and is a great example of inter-war church architechture. Most notable is the green copper dome which can even be clearly seen from a few miles away. The church building is Grade II* listed.
When initially constructed, the dome was a completely different colour to the beautiful green it is today. The copper used to be a shiny brown colour, and over time, the brown copper oxidised naturally and turned green.
St Mary and St George has been a centre of Anglo-Catholic worship for most of its history. Nowadays it is managed by the Church of England.
