Geocache Description:

We Can Take It

Caddo Lake State Park sits on the edge of the Big Cypress Bayou of Caddo Lake with gorgeous Bald cypress trees draped with Spanish moss towering over a maze of bayous, sloughs, and ponds. Bald cypress, towering pines, and hardwoods shade the park, providing fall and spring color, and beauty year-round. "CCC" Series

Caddo Lake State Park is perhaps best known for its bald cypress trees, paddling activities, and fall colors. But did you know that this area is also rich in cultural history? This geocache series was created to showcase the lesser known Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) structures within the park. Some notable structures you will see while driving through the park are the Entrance Portal, Refectory (Rec Hall), and Cabins! On the trails, you will see the Shade Pavilion, Camp Stoves, Bridge Supports, Culverts, and Stairs! Parking Suggestion for "We Can Take It!": CCC Cut-Through Parking.

The “CCC” Series contains two geocaches: "We Can Take It!" & "We Get the Job Done!"
