Following on from the CCA (Chorus Cabinet Art) series in Marlborough, administered by Kiwimykl, and the similar CCA series on the West Coast by Holymu and Hazedarus, here is the CCCCA (Christchurch City Chorus Cabinet Art) series, started to highlight the local artistic talent that Chorus (and sometimes other utility providers) have commissioned to brighten up their otherwise boring public utility boxes. The majority of the hides will be Multi caches but there may be the occasional Mystery. Tradionals are unlikely as PUBs are out of bounds for placing caches on, under, or nearby. Like the other series, others are welcome to join in as long as the numbering system continues. I will endeavour to keep a good list.
This is #2, using the artwork on the cabinet at the posted coordinates near the corner of Harewood Road and Greers Road.
The information may be obtained from on, or near, the cabinet to get you to the final. When facing the artwork, there is a five letter "code" in the top left corner and to the right of the cabinet, at ground level, is a short grey plastic "post" (cover).
Final is at S43 29.ABC E172 35.XYZ where:
A = (second digit of second line on post) minus (first digit of third line on post)
B= (second digit of second line on post) minus (place in alphabet of second letter on second line of code)
C = (first digit of third line on post) minus (place in alphabet of first letter on second line of code)
X = (place in alphabet of first letter on first line of post) plus (first digit of third line on post)
Y = second digit of second line on post
Z = place in alphabet of first letter on first line on post
