Although it would nice, this is NOT located in the Chinook Winds Casino. It is hidden just off a major road and if wet, it can be a slippery walk to the location. The cache also contains a travel bug; the "Free Range Vienna Sausage" travel bug which needs to find a new home.
Just outside the Portland city limits is hidden the "Chinook Winds" cache. Although the original location started out to be in a metro park, it was moved due to the day use fee. The cache is hidden well out of sight and one will have to actually do some looking to find it. Although the terrain is not too tough, when wet, can be slippery and muddy. One can enjoy the various wildlife in the immediate area while looking for this one. There is no direct path to the cache location and if you choose the shortest distance from the road, one may find themselves in a "sticky" situation. Be sure to cover your tracks after making the find.
The cache was originally placed just east of here, but was relocated (12/26/02) due to some confusion over signs. The signs refered to vehicle traffic on the access roads and not those of us on foot. Look well, it was hard to see after it was placed.
