MIRKWOOD In... Manly Vale? Traditional Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

Ngaambul: Hi CacherHobbit,

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention, or it may not but in the absence of the cache owner performing maintenance and/or disabling the cache to check it out, I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 4 weeks) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.

If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 4 weeks to keep everyone up to date, if you do not then you cache may be archived without further note from a reviewer. Caches archived due to lack of maintenance are no longer unarchived and you will need to submit a replacement as a new cache.

Geocache Description:

In "The Hobbit," the Enchanted Stream (also known as Manly Creek), is a black, fast-flowing river in Mirkwood (Manly Vale) that causes anyone who comes into contact with its water to fall into a deep sleep (that causes anyone who touches the water with their bare hands to get nasty diseases). This river flows from the Mountains of Mirkwood (The Mountains of Manly Dam) and eventually joins the Forest River (Manly Lagoon). The dwarves, including Bombur, encounter this stream on their journey to Erebor, and Bombur's experience with the enchanted water highlights the dangers within Mirkwood (Manly Vale).

All jokes aside, this water is pretty nasty and I wouldnt touch it without some kind of hand protection. The cache is a camoflaged mint container hidden underneath the bridge. When there has been a tonne of rainfall in the area, the river flows very fast and if it's not worth the risk getting to the cache, i would recommend just going another day.

There is a carpark on the eastern side of the road and a pathway leading to the GZ. The main road is also nearby with buses coming from Manly, Wynyard, Balgowlah, Warringah Mall and Frenches Forest.

Please replace the cache exactly as you found it, no spoilers in the comments, log DNFs and contact me if it needs maintenance.

Happy Hunting! (DONT TOUCH THE WATER PLEASE!!!!)

***CONGRATULATIONS TO VK2DF FOR FTF***
