St Mary’s Lesbury is an active and local worshipping congregation. The building and surrounding churchyard are central to the village, and provide a hub for community life. The Grade 2 listed building was first recorded in 1147 and features a 13th century tower. Sunday service pattern is fortnightly and all are welcome to attend any service. Every Thursday there is a gather for a midweek Eucharist which is in the Iona (Celtic) style of liturgy. All services are followed by refreshments and provide a time to chat and share fellowship together.
Notices about upcoming events in the community and local area can be found in the porch, which also hosts an open book swap shelf - come and have a browse and swap a book or two. The churchyard offers a lovely space to sit quietly and enjoy the tranquility of the resident wildlife.
At the posted coordinates, you will find a plaque on the stone wall. Please use this to work out the necessary coordinates.

The final cache is a short walk or drive away. The cache is a small-sized tub in a camoflauged bag. Since it is small, it has a few trade items in - please feel free to swap with them for something of the same or greater value, but please dont take the log sheet or pen out as they are not swops.
Once you have found the cache, please sign your geocaching username, initials, or some clear variation, and optionally the date. You may use the pen provided, or one from home; tweezers will not be needed.
If you happen to not find the cache, please make sure you log a DNF and I will check on it as soon as possible.
Please note that the church is only open from 10am - dusk.
Happy caching!
Congratulations to Lady Vicki on the FTF!
