Come join the Erie Area Geocachers for the annual WWFM!
A World-Wide Flash mob is an event designed to bring cachers together at the same time in various locations to promote geocaching! (We are a little early this year due to other things going on!) Each year between 5000 and 10,000+ people attend hundreds of events in dozens of countries throughout the world to celebrate this day.
This is the 22nd year the "WWFM" has been held and this is the 9th event in Erie!
The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23rd. Please gather at the posted coordinates at that time. At around 10:20 a.m. we will get together for a group photo. The Event will end at 10:30 a.m. (or maybe later) and you can take off and cache, go out to eat, or go for a swim!
NOTE: This is a busy day in Erie: The Tall Ships Festival is happening downdown and the Polish Festival is happening just a couple of miles away.
The Theme of this WWFM event (There is ALWAYS a theme!) is ORANGE. Wear something orange or bring something orange colored. If you do not arrive with orange, something orange will be provided for you! (Hint: hunting season is right around the corner!)
As always, cookies or other snacks are welcome!
There will be official event "trading items" given to the 1st (approximately) 36 people that I see! Please log your Will Attends so we can plan! See you there!
