They are called Trinity.
To many, Trinity represents
To some, we well remember Trinity as
Many millions more remember Trinity as
There was even a video game released in 1986 that referred to Trinity...
But ALL THE WORLD, knows of this Trinity, even if they don't know its name...

80 years ago today, 16 July 1945, the United States Army detonated the world's first Atomic bomb at the White Sands Missile Site in New Mexico, heralding the dawn of the Nuclear Age.
Three weeks later on 6 August 1945, the United States detonated the atomic bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima and three days later over Nagasaki, accelerating the surrender of Japan and the end of World War II.
The Trinity test site was declared a National Historic Landmark district in 1965 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places the following year, although it is closed to the public except for a couple of days each year - in April and October.
There used to be a Virtual geocache, GC22C0 at the site, but was archived upon the death of the CO in 2009. The cache has been locked, but it is available for viewing.

I felt this was a octogintennial opportunity to acknowledge – I won't say celebrate – this unique day in history.
