This is attached and doesnt need to be removed. Just unscrew the cap and remove the log with a TOTT.
It all started with a peaceful afternoon stroll through what might be the most aggressively manicured park in existence. Not a blade of grass dared to step out of line. Even the squirrels look like they've signed a grooming contract. I barely made it past the trailhead when I realized - my lucky pen was gone. Not just any pen - the one I use to sign every geocache log book, write my grocery lists, and once, very poorly, draw a pirate map on a napkin.
Naturally, I launched into a dramatic, fruitless search. I checked my pockets, turned my backpack inside out, and even accused a passing duck of theft (They have shifty eyes you know). Just when I was about to give up something caught my eye near the fence. Something..... pokey. The kind of thing that doesn't exactly say "Welcome please touch me." Still, hope is a powerful motivator - Or maybe foolishness is. Hard to say.
Let's just say the search ended with scratched arms, a few muttered apologies to Mother Nature, and an unexpected discovery. I never did find the pen, but I found something better - something hidden, something secret, something for you. If you're on the hunt too, just remember: sometimes, what you're looking for is surrounded by things that really don't want to be hugged.
