Welcome to The Bark Side, where paws and boots alike have wandered the trails, and where friendships — both canine and human — are made daily. This geocache celebrates the quiet magic of Dominion Brook Park, a leash-optional haven where dogs explore, kids hide behind trees, and laughter echoes through the gardens.
But this park offers more than just charm — it’s steeped in history. Established over a century ago as part of one of Canada’s oldest federal ornamental gardens, Dominion Brook is home to an incredible collection of mature trees, heritage plantings, and a stunning rhododendron grove. Many of the species here are rare or unusual for the region, and the entire landscape has been lovingly cared for by dedicated volunteers who have worked tirelessly to preserve and revitalize it.
