Welcome to the Abner Throp Cemetery! There hasn’t been a geocache associated with this historic little cemetery for a long time, and with all the cemetery multi-caches popping up, I figured I’d place one as well.
At the posted coordinates, you’ll find the grave of Abner Thorp (it’s the tallest headstone in the cemetery; you can’t miss it). Use his headstone and the smaller stone directly behind it to determine the location of the final stage.

A= Day of death + the last digit of Abner’s birth year.
B= Number of years served in the American Civil War.
C= Total number of words in the quote on the smaller stone.
D= First digit of Abner’s age at death.
E= Subtract the two digits of his birth day from each other.
F= Last digit of the year Abner joined the Quartermaster Department minus the first digit of the same year.
