Aquamarine is a blue-green to blue variety of the mineral beryl, named for its resemblance to seawater. It's a popular gemstone used in jewelry, known for its clarity and range of blue hues, from pale to deep. The name "aquamarine" comes from the Latin "aqua marina," meaning "sea water".
