Geocache Description:

The Park District held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 24, 2025 to celebrate new trails and public access at Sycamore Valley Open Space Regional Preserve in Danville. The trails are part of the 381-acre Magee Preserve property.

The ribbon-cutting event marked the formalization of agreements for public access to more than 3.5 miles of trails within the 381-acre Magee Preserve property that connects to Sycamore Valley Regional Open Space Preserve.

This cache is within the Magee preserve property of East Bay Regional Parks Sycamore Valley Regional Open Space Preserve. There are several parking options, all require a short to medium hike. As you approach, you will notice twin oaks, 1 dead and 1 barely makng it. Poor things. At least they make nice homes for animals and geocaches.
