The Haunted History of the Inn: Dr. Frankenstein’s Final Lab
Long before it was an Inn with warm waffles and fluffy pillows, this quiet building hid something far more… electrifying. In the late 1800s, the site was home to a reclusive scientist known only as Dr. F. Locals whispered that he was a distant cousin of the infamous Dr. Frankenstein — the very same madman of legend. They said he came to America seeking peace, but what he found was a broken-down stable and a lightning rod.
Undisturbed behind the hills and hidden from polite society, Dr. F rebuilt the structure from the inside out. He filled the walls with copper wire, set up generators in the cellar, and, if the stories are true, even attempted to finish what his ancestor started. Strange lights were seen flashing behind the shutters. Travelers heard groans echoing from nowhere. One night, during a wicked thunderstorm, the power surged so high it melted the old lab door into slag… and the doctor was never seen again.
Now, the Inn stands on those very bones. Most guests enjoy a quiet stay — but a few report flickering lights in Room 313, or the feeling of being watched from behind the vending machine. Some say one last bolt — the one that sparked the final experiment — is still hidden nearby, magnetized to cold steel, humming faintly with ghost-current. Are you brave enough to find it?
