SK - Príroda nie je smetisko (ale niektorí si to mýlia s kontajnerom bez dna)
Aj ty si už niekedy vyrazil do prírody načerpať energiu, vyvetrať hlavu... a namiesto vône lesa ťa ovalil závan plastu, cigaretového ohorku a obalu od bagety spred troch ročných období? Nuž, nie si sám. Príroda nás víta s otvorenou náručou, ale niektorí jej na oplátku nechávajú „darčeky“, ktoré si neželá — a hlavne sa ich nevie zbaviť.
Žiaľ, správanie ľudí prírodu často devastuje. A netýka sa to len hlbokých hôr. Niekedy sa stačí vykloniť z panelákového balkóna a hľa — pod oknom sa povaľuje papierik, plastová fľaša, prípadne celá fastfoodová večera aj s faktúrou. Akoby gravitácia občas pôsobila len na smeti a nie na zdravý rozum.
Táto keška ťa zavedie k informačnej tabuli pri moste, ktorým vstupuješ do lesoparku Berek — krásneho miesta, ktoré si zaslúži našu úctu, nie odpadky. Tabuľa zobrazuje rôzne typy odpadu, ktoré ľudia zvyknú "zabudnúť" v prírode, a ukazuje, koľko trvá, kým sa rozložia. Spoiler alert: väčšinou to nie je do zajtra. Napríklad taká sklenená fľaša — jej trpezlivosť je nekonečná. A cigaretový ohorok? Ten si dá v lese niekoľkoročnú dovolenku.
Takže keď už budeš hľadať kešku, pozri sa aj okolo seba. Možno nájdeš niečo, čo by malo namiesto prírody skončiť v koši. A ak ho náhodou nikde nevidíš, veď čo — turista s vreckom v batohu je ekologický hrdina dnešných čias.
Keška nie je na samotnej tabuli ani pod mostom, ale blízko — s rešpektom k prírode a okoliu. Prosím, správaj sa ohľaduplne, nenarušuj okolie a odnes si nielen logbookový zápis, ale aj dobrý pocit, že si nič nezanechal... alebo ešte lepšie, že si niečo z cudzieho neporiadku zbalil a odniesol.
Nezabudni: Príroda nie je smetisko. Ale geocaching je fajn spôsob, ako si to pripomenúť — a možno pripomenúť aj iným.
Keška: Drive-in v pravom slova zmysle, keďže parkovisko je hneď po ruke. Aby to zase nebolo také ľahké treba si priniesť našu obľúbenú pomôcku - biltemu. A pri lovení dávať pozor na okoloidúcich. BYOP a pinzeta sa bude určite tiež hodiť.
EN - Nature is Not a Dumpster (though some people treat it like a bottomless trash can)
Have you ever gone out into nature to recharge, clear your mind… only to be greeted not by the scent of the forest, but by the aroma of plastic, cigarette butts, and a sandwich wrapper from three seasons ago? Well, you’re not alone. Nature welcomes us with open arms, but some people leave behind “gifts” it never asked for — and can't get rid of on its own.
Unfortunately, human behavior often devastates nature. And it’s not just deep in the wilderness. Sometimes, all it takes is leaning over your apartment balcony to see trash scattered on the ground — a stray paper, a plastic bottle, or even someone’s entire fast food dinner, receipt included. It's as if gravity only works on garbage and not on common sense.
This cache will lead you to an information board near the bridge that marks the entrance to the Berek forest park — a beautiful place that deserves respect, not litter. The board shows different types of waste commonly "forgotten" in nature and explains how long it takes for each to decompose. Spoiler alert: most of them are in no hurry. A glass bottle, for instance, could outlast civilizations. And a cigarette butt? Let’s just say it enjoys a multi-year vacation in the woods.
So while you're out hunting for the cache, take a look around. You might spot something that should be in a trash bin instead of on a hiking trail. And if there’s no bin nearby — no worries. A responsible hiker with an extra bag is the true eco-hero of our times.
The cache is not hidden on the board or under the bridge, but nearby — placed respectfully with nature in mind. Please be considerate, don’t disturb the area, and leave nothing behind except a log entry (and maybe a good feeling that you helped clean up a little).
Remember: Nature is not a dumpster. But geocaching is a great way to remind ourselves — and maybe others — of that.
Cache: A true drive-in in every sense of the word, as the parking lot is right next to it. But to keep things from being too easy, you’ll need to bring our favorite tool — a Biltema grabber. While searching, be cautious of passersby. BYOP and tweezers will definitely come in handy too
