25 Years of Resting Caches
If you haven't found a Resting or what is commonly written as Restin' in cache, you're either a new cacher or you're scared of ghosts. The Resting caches have been hidden since geocaching started and there is no shortage of them. They will bring you to a cemetery or graveyard to share some of its history while you pay respects and gain a find. Restin' caches are a favourite to many as muggles don't seem to be as much of an issue with these hunts.
Today, the oldest active Resting cache is Plank's Resting Place in California hidden on Aug 8, 2001. The oldest active "Restin' in" cache is Restin' in Preston in Washington hidden on Aug 6,2003.
Did You Know? The difference between a cemetery and a graveyard is a church. If the church is on the same property as the burial ground, it is known as a graveyard. No church = cemetery.
